My bags are packed, and I'm ready to go! Tomorrow I leave for Phoenix! I can't believe the walk is this weekend. I feel like I'm ready, and I can't wait to meet my teammates .
This duffle is stuffed to the brim with lots of pink . . . . . cute tent decorations for our team . . . . a sleeping bag that will explode when it comes out of the bag, and I will never get it back in . . . . two pair of shoes . . . . . socks galore . . . . . . flashlight . . . . . . etc. . . . . .etc. . . . . etc.!
What am I dreading the most? Sleeping on the hard ground and no hairdryers top the list, but everyone will be in the same boat, so it won't really matter.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me in this journey. I've met and exceeded my goal, and I couldn't have done that without the help of many friends. My hubby has been a great walking coach, and got me going on days I didn't feel like walking. I know the experience this weekend will be emotional, and I have a stack of pink ribbons that I will have with me as I trek the 60 miles. On the ribbons are the names of family and friends of my donors who have battled breast cancer.
One day there will be a cure! Keep me in your thoughts this weekend!
